When we moved into our house (over nine years ago) one of the first things I wanted to do was paint the exterior of the house. We had painted the entire inside of the house ourselves and I decided it would be worth the money never to do that again. I planned on hiring someone to do the outside. we lived here a couple of years before someone pointed out to me that it was pink. A very faded pink, but pink nonetheless. I think the trim actually used to be turquoise. The painting fund always got pushed to the end of the priority list and I finally realized going with a professional wasn't going to happen. I started the prep work in March fully expecting the project to take all of two weekends, three tops. We finally put paint to house two weeks ago and we still have a ton of touch up to do. Dalin is not big on change and I caught him several times trying to wash the new paint off with the hose. Luckily the paint dried pretty quickly. We are not the neatest when it comes to painting so there is a lot of clean up to be done. The color is brighter than I anticipated and Chris thinks it's purple, but I have gotten used to it and I am really happy with how it turned out.
